Excessive Speed Cited in Washington Train Derailment


After an investigation administered by the National Transportation Safety Board, it has been determined that excessive speed is a factor in the fatal train derailment that occurred on Monday morning. Allegedly, when the train was traveling on the overpass of Interstate 5 in Dupont, Washington, it was speeding 50 miles over the 30-mile speed limit.
