Baltimore Accident Lawyers: Deadliest Season for Drunk Driving Begins on Thanksgiving Eve

The night before Thanksgiving has become one of the most anticipated and celebrated bar nights of the year. For many college students home for the holiday weekend or co-workers gathering for a last-minute drink, it is the perfect time to catch up and relax without having to worry about getting up for work the next day. Unfortunately, this night is also known for binge drinking and a higher rate of DUI arrests and alcohol-related crashes. It is for this reason that Thanksgiving Eve has earned the ominous nickname “Black Wednesday.” This year, the National Safety Council estimates that 433 people will lose their lives and another 52,300 will be seriously injured in traffic crashes over the Thanksgiving weekend.
